Did you know that SAGA has been providing legal name and gender change assistance in partnership with the UA College of Law since 2015? As with everything else, COVID has put a little delay in our next Name and Gender Change Clinic, since they're usually in-person. Stay tuned for a virtual clinic coming soon!

For now, SAGA has produced an informative and colorful easy to use guide on the process. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to our legal team, Abby Jensen and Marissa Sites, at NameChange@SAGATucson.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

One of the biggest changes related to COVID, is that you will probably be instructed to schedule a virtual court hearing for your name change petition. The court should not give an excuse that they cannot process name change petitions at this time as they have been processed. The courts have been set up to operate virtually just like other government services.
