ARKANSAS Code 20-18-307(d)(2003
Arkansas will change both name and sex, and will issue a new birth certificate if the court order so specifies. The request for the court order must include medical documentation (letter from the SRS surgeon).
Code (d) upon receipt of a certified copy of an order of a court of competent jurisdiction indicating that the sex of an individual born in Arkansas has been changed by surgical procedure and that such individuals name has been changed, the certificate of birth of such individual shall be amended accordingly.
