MISSOURI Statute: Mo Ann Stat 193.215 (9) (2004)
Missouri will issue an amended birth certificate. You will need an original or certified copy of the court order for the name change “if the name is ‘typically’ used for the opposite sex.” There is a $15.00 charge for the change and another $15.00 for each copy.
CODE:
9. Upon receipt of a certified copy of an order of a court of competent jurisdiction indicating the sex of an individual born in this state has been changed by surgical procedure and that such individual’s name has been changed, the certificate of birth of such individual shall be amended.
