Announcing...
Southern Arizona Gender Alliance - SAGA
Welcome...

TGNET ArizonaThe Southern Arizona Gender Alliance (SAGA) envisions a society where transgender and transsexual people are ensured of their basic rights and can be open, honest, and safe at home, at work, and in the community.

To achieve this goal, SAGA offers support, social, and discussion groups that reflect the various aspects of gender and society. We also provide educational forums and trainings for businesses, service providers, and community members to learn more about the issues facing transgender, transsexual, intersex, and gender-variant people and their significant others, friends, families, and allies, and we provide information on how our allies can be supportive and inclusive.

Thanks for visiting! If you don't find what you need here, please let us know how we can be of better service to you.

New Transgender Veterans Survey
A new survey has been created to achieve a more accurate picture of the state of the transgender American veteran population. Many of the issues facing transgender veterans are no different than those facing the rest of the transgender community. However negotiating healthcare thru the Veterans Administration and dealing with the Department of Defense poses its own unique set of challenges. This survey is also for those transgender people who are still serving in the military and those veterans who identify and are diagnosed as intersex.

Latest TYFA Newsletter Now Online
Trans Youth Family Advocates (TYFA) is an organization of families who wish to help their transgender children. TYFA believes that "All people, especially children, have the right to be listened to when they express something as core to their sense of self as gender identity." SAGA backs the efforts of TYFA and recommends the organization to parents who seek out resources and assistance for their trans kids.

Issue 5 of the TYFA Works newsletter has now been published and is available for downloading. Click hereImage to obtain a copy in .PDF format.
